Also heard about her friend Davenport Hooker, known as "Worms" for his fascination with tapeworms. "Worms" was one of her best friends and partners-in-crime when she was my age, their penultimate prank apparently having been sewing all the silverware to the tablecloth at a wedding reception once.
We've been going through other stuff... I've found genealogical research for grandma's family going back to the 1400's in England on one branch, and all sorts of things. I've spent a chunk of the afternoon curled up on the couch with a glass of ice tea and a book, with Mollie and Annie (the dogs) piled atop me like a drooling blanket. Tomorrow, we go home.
In some ways I'll be glad. I have a lot of work stuff still to do, and it's been difficult to do development on my laptop out here with no network access. But in others, I'm sad. I guess Narberth and this area are, in some ways, part of me; I spent childhood summers out here, and there's still so much family and so much history here.
