[General] Seattle Area Events

I don't know if anyone else is interested in any of these local events, but I figured I'd stick 'em up there. I'm probably doing all of these, but it'd be great if any others want to also tag along. :)

Tuesday, September 27 (i.e., next Tuesday) -- Author Terry Pratchett is giving a reading and signing of the new Discworld book (Thud!) in the U District at 7pm. Admission is $3, but you get a ticket for free if you buy Thud! at the U Bookstore.

Tuesday, October 4 (i.e., Tuesday after next) -- Author Neil Gaiman is giving a reading and signing for his new book (Anansi Boys, sequel to American Gods) in the U District at 7pm. Admission is $3, but you get a ticket for free if you buy Anansi Boys at the U Bookstore.

Saturday, November 12 -- 'Annacon.' Admission is $150 (ow) which covers admission and meals. Anna-con meeting for a day over in Bellevue with some Tor editors (notably Anna Genoese, hence the name) to discuss what works or doesn't in pitches, go over writing and say why an editor would or wouldn't buy the book, etc. Limited number of seats.

(And a reminder that Neil Gaiman's 'Mirrormask' movie is out on the 30th of September, along with Joss Whedon's 'Serenity.')

I'm in for the two signings, but like I said, really don't see how I can justify the 'con'. Sigh.
I wanna go!!!!!
Pratchett? Here?

!!!!!
What he said. *_* I'm so there.
Yep. And hardly the first time he's been here. Duane manages to get him for a signing every year or two. :)
Where exactly is the Neil Gaiman? Linky?
http://www.bookstore.washington.edu/ -- I don't recall the direct link to the October events page, but I'm pretty sure you can find it.
I'm in for the Gaiman signing!
Ah, found it. It's here.
Thanks muchly. *reads blurb* oh, jeez. I have GOT to get me one of THESE... */will-smith* you've no idea...
Hey Rach?

I hate you.

In a good way.

BTW, think I could talk you into grabbing me a copy of each? *cute look*
I don't know that I'll be allowed to get multiple copies signed, but I'll see what I can do. If I can only do two, I already promised kieri signed copies.
Hello,
I think I added you a while back from somewhere, but my memory fails me.

I love Terry Pratchett and am so excited to see him in the flesh!! I will just grin and say "'s" and "'nk you" to him! :D
