Yet more DSL trials...

Supposedly we'll have DSL back by end-of-business on Friday. They've evidently fixed the house-to-central-office portion, because my DSL light is on; I get line sync now, but I don't get connection to Speakeasy. The Speakeasy folks tell me there's a chance that the Qwest people will finish early and I might get my connection back before Friday, but not to get my hopes up too high.

We're into the third week of downtime. If they DON'T have it up by end-of-business Friday, since Qwest doesn't do DSL work over the weekend, then we'll hit a full three weeks.

I know you've probably already thought of this, but they either *aren't* charging you or *are* crediting you, yes?

I don't pay them for the DSL, I pay Speakeasy; Speakeasy handles payment to them. My Qwest bills only cover my voice service, which (in general) has been working, and I don't get any bills from Covad.

I dunno if Qwest and Covad would credit me for the time, but if not, Speakeasy's swallowing the cost anyway.
